My story
My roots are in Friesland. My father instilled music in me from a young age. The first thing I played was probably a Frisian song. Later, I studied to become a music teacher and currently work at Kunst Centraal, where I'm committed to cultural education. When CCO started, I followed the orchestra with great admiration. Such a special group of people making infectious music together — I wanted to be a part of it! I asked if I could join. They didn't need anyone on alto saxophone, but they did need someone on baritone. So I hired one, and from that moment on, I was hooked. The rest is history.
