My story
My name is Oksana Ivashchenko, a pianist born in Kyiv. I began playing the piano when I was young and studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Kyiv, from which I graduated with honours.
Since then, I have performed in many different venues, from concert halls to television and international tours. I have worked as a soloist, accompanist and in various ensembles. I play classical music as well as jazz and other styles.
What appeals to me most in music is the freedom, and improvisation plays a major role in that for me. It is a way for me to truly express myself and create something new every time.
