My story

In early 2000, I started playing guitar in Nepal. Most people in my neighborhood played it; almost every kid knew a few chords. My first song was a Bollywood number, but I don't remember exactly which one. Later, I discovered the saxophone. It quickly became my main instrument, the one where I feel most free to express myself musically. From Kathmandu, I traveled via New York to Utrecht. Through my friend Rian (A.K.A. Reversed), I heard about CCO, who needed a saxophonist. After my first performance with CCO at Tivoli, I was sold. The joy I saw in the audience is what I remember most.

My input in the orchestra

What makes me unique in the Catching Cultures Orchestra is my background in Eastern classical and Nepalese music. I hope to explore this more in the future.
