My story
My name is Ryan and I'm from Hong Kong. I play the (French) horn. Actually, that was a mistake: my mother wanted to sign me up for English horn lessons, but she forgot the word "English" on the form. And so it became the French horn. Howard Shore, the composer of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, then showed me as a child how beautiful and epic the horn can sound. My first performance with the orchestra was at Tivoli in 2023. An unforgettable moment.

My input in the orchestra
Besides being a musician, I'm also an arranger for the Catching Cultures Orchestra. For example, I arranged the pieces "Horses Racing," "Mi Buenaventura," and "Kay Detawa." I also create custom pieces from the repertoire for other ensembles to play on behalf of the CCO.
